The Bexley Education Foundation Turns 40!

To new beginnings! The Bexley Education Foundation is excited to congratulate Bexley Magazine on their first issue, but we would also like to take a moment to re-introduce ourselves to the community and share our new logo.

Did you know? The Bexley Education Foundation celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2023 making it one of the oldest and most successful foundations to support public education in Ohio. Here’s to the next 40!

Did you know? The Bexley Education Foundation funds programs across the Bexley City Schools district to enhance the learning experience for all students! Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation has channeled more than $7 million in private support to the Bexley Schools for district priorities and teacher-initiated projects.

Did you know? The Bexley High School Alumni Association was brought under our umbrella in 2015! Connecting alumni to each other and the Bexley School is just as important as ever and something the Bexley Education Foundation is proud to continue.

Did you know? We are the largest private funder of technology for the school district and it all started in 1987 when donors to the Foundation contributed over $640,000 to purchase computers for the school district including those used to create a computer lab. Most recently, the Bexley Education Foundation’s One for All campaign allowed the district to purchase a Chromebook or iPad for every student in the Bexley Schools.

Did you know? In 1997, the Bexley Education Foundation’s first endowment fund was established by BHS alumnus and best-selling author of the Goosebumps series, R.L. Stine. We now have 18 endowed funds including the Kay Massman Helman fund for Mental Health and Wellness.

Did you know? In 1996, the Bexley High School Alumni Piazza and Walkway was dedicated with 30,000 bricks. To this day, families still purchase bricks or pavers to honor graduates as well as beloved teachers and classmates.

Did you know? Our largest fundraiser, BRAVO!, is moving after being held for several years at St. Charles. Save the date for April 22, 2023 and plan on coming to the historic Valley Dale Ballroom! Visit auctria.events/bravo for more information.

Did you know? This isn’t the first BRAVO! to be held at Valley Dale. We were last there in 2009 - we have some more fun “flashbacks” up our sleeves this year.
