Bexley Education Foundation: Spotlight on Alumni

In 2015 the Bexley High School Alumni Association came under the umbrella of the Bexley Education Foundation. Since that time the Foundation has celebrated the graduation of each new class and sought ways to strengthen connections between alumni, with current students and with the Bexley schools.

FROM SENIOR TO GRAD

The Bexley Education Foundation celebrates the transition from senior to graduate through its brick and paver program and funding of an annual seniors-only lunch party. Most importantly, there are now nine endowed funds established at the Foundation that provide 14-15 annual scholarships for college or to support post graduation plans to begin an immediate career path or serve in the military.

GRADUATION SPEAKER

This year, we are thrilled to announce that BHS alum, Taylor Harris, Class of 2001, is the keynote speaker for the Class of 2023 graduation ceremony to be held on Sunday, May 29. Ms. Harris is a writer, wife and mother of three who lives in Virginia. Her work has appeared in Time, O Quarterly, The Washington Post, Longreads, The Cut, Romper, Parents, McSweeny’s among others. Her debut memoir, This Boy We Made: A Memoir of Motherhood, Genetics and Facing the Unknown, was published in January 2022.

CLASS REUNIONS

BHS graduates of all ages (especially those who graduated in years ending in a two or eight) are planning class reunions in 2023 with many being held over the July 4th holiday weekend. An Alumni Open House will be held at the high school on Monday, July 3, from 10:00am - 1:00pm. For the most up-to-date information, visit BexleyAlumni.org.
