Endowments Enrich the Bexley Experience

Did you know that The Bexley Education Foundation stewards 19 Designated Endowment Funds? Two of these funds are new and need additional donor investment to become fully endowed. We invite you to join those who have already made gifts to these new funds.

The Janet Bez Ebert Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established to support the Bexley Band program and honor the late Dr. Janet Bez Ebert ’53, whose love of music and passion for music education was legendary. The Fund will help purchase band instruments and fund a college scholarship. “I know Janet would be thrilled that this fund will provide the opportunity for more Bexley students to develop a deep love for music from elementary school through to college!” said Andy Johnson, Bexley Bands Director.

Thanks to the generosity of one of Janet’s Bexley classmates, each gift will be matched, up to $10,000. Contributions can be made online at bexleyeducationfoundation.org by selecting “In Memory of Janet Ebert” from the drop down menu.

The Millard Family Athletic Hall of Fame Fund was established thanks to a major gift from Gene & Sally Millard to support the Bexley High School Athletic Hall of Fame. The Millards established the Athletic Hall of Fame in 1989 and dedicated it to the memory of their daughter Rebecca Ann Millard as a way to honor outstanding individuals who have contributed to sports at Bexley.

Since 1990, the Athletic Hall of Fame has celebrated the special place that athletes have in our school community. “It means so much to alumni to gather together with former teammates and other Bexley athletes to honor our most accomplished competitors,” said Jen Bunker ‘91, a 2005 Inductee. Once endowed, the fund will ensure that this Bexley Athletics tradition continues in perpetuity.
