Chambers Music Studio Students of the Month
At Chamber’s Music studio, two remarkable siblings Dafna and Hadar Skolnik have been named Students of the Month. They have impressed their instructors and peers with their musical talents and contagious enthusiasm.
Fifteen-year-old Dafna, ninth grader at Bexley High School, discovered her passion for music early on, diving into the world of piano in second grade. Surrounded by a family rooted in musical traditions, Dafna found inspiration in the songs found within her home. Her love for fast-paced pieces fuels her sessions at the studio and her fingers dance quickly across the piano keys. Guided by Ms. Laurie, Dafna works to continuously refine her skills each month. Dafna says “I love Ms. Laurie and wouldn’t be the musician and person I am today without her guidance.”
At nine years old, Hadar, third grader at Columbus Jewish Day School mirrors her sister’s same dedication to music. Drawn to the piano by intricate melodies, Hadar uses each lesson with Ms. Laurie and the supportive environment she creates to sharpen her skills. Hadar talks about her musical journey and explains “I just love learning and being able to know that no matter what-even if I make mistakes-it’s ok!”
Both siblings share a love for sushi, the Bexley Public Library, and dream of meeting musical icons like Taylor Swift. Whether it’s engaging in a game of Telestrations or checking out books from the library, Dafna and Hadar embody the spirit of dedication and resilience, leaving an incredible mark on Chamber’s Music Studio and beyond.
